Questions and more Questions
The amount of information available on Medicare is truly amazing.  For just about any question, the answer is there for you to find.  Sometimes it's easy and sometimes it's not.  If you know where to look and have the time to research, you can find the answer on your own. Of course, there is a better way.

We have encountered almost every question you might have.  We most likely already have the answers you are looking for.  And for those obscure queries where it is a fresh subject, we know how to find the answer.

A Lot to Consider
Enrollment periods - how many are there? When do they start? What's the difference between the periods?  How does it affect you?  What is your best course of action?  You need to know this information and you can acquire it on your own or you can let us guide you.

What about deadlines and penalties? How much are the penalties and how long do they last? What else is affected by missed deadlines? The impact of missed deadlines can be consequential.  We help you understand what needs immediate attention and what doesn't.

The application process; is it electronic or paper? How long does it take to be approved?  How are payments made?
Again, you can look it up or ask us.

Does it Ever End?
Once you have enrolled in Medicare and selected your Medigap Plan you relax and take a breather.  But, invariably at some point in the future, your situation will change.  Marriage, retirement, re-entering the workforce or a move out of state could affect your coverage and you will need answers.  Again, as your agent, you have a resource to lean on.
You Can't Afford Not To
Good advice is invaluable in helping you make the right choices.  Yet, there is no cost to you for our counsel.  We earn commission on the policies you sign up for.  And, the premiums you pay for those policies are exactly the same as if you had gone directly to the insurance company.  You don't pay a penny more.

Captive vs. Independent Agent
A captive agent works for a particular insurance company and is paid to sell policies offered by that company. They try to make the customer fit into a policy that the company offers. Sometimes it's a good fit. Sometimes, not so much.

Baren Associates is an independent insurance agent.  We represent many different companies to serve our clients.  There is no one-size-fits-all in this sector of the insurance market.  What that means to you is that our loyalty is with our clients, not with the insurance company.  We will find the best policy that fits your needs among the top-rated companies that offer it.
We've Got Your Back
At Baren Associates we see our role as pro-active. We monitor the industry for changes that may affect your coverage. We also track premium increases. At your request, we can advise you of alternatives. We can also assist in re-evaluating your prescription drug plan to see if a better option is available.
